For the best ways to keep your skin hydrated in these (finally) soaring temperatures, check out some of my favorite products:
The Prevention+ Ultimate Daily Moisturizer offers superior sun protection with broad spectrum SPF 50 along with a blend of plant stem cells and potent antioxidants to protect skin. A dose of aqualance improves skin hydration. It goes on smoothly and sheer and is designed and feels like a moisturizer, not "sunscreen". As a rule of thumb products should be applied from lightest or thinnest to heaviest or thickest. Always start with a clean slate aka face. If your cleanser is not pH neutral, use a toner to set it back to a neutral pH. Next consider a serum - usually packed with goodness for your skin such as vitamins, antioxidants, hydration. A lotion or cream should add moisture and protection to your skin and seal in hydration. Alternatively, a face oil may do that job (depending on your skin type and needs). Lastly: sun protection. Allow for each product to soak in before you add the next layer. Makeup should be applied last. Happy layering!
Our age shows on our hands - just like anywhere else on our body. Exposure to the elements and sun, harsh products and manual work all manifest themselves especially on our hands. We are not saying, start behaving like a hand model. But whenever you put your serum, moisturizer, sunscreen, night cream, face-oil or other goodies on your face (neck and precious décolletage) simply massage any leftover residue into your hands. And let your hands speak to your age the same as your face.
